The Reporting, Information & Analytics Analyst at Unilever plays a vital role in corporate management accounting and driving the finance digital agenda across Southern Africa. The role requires managing global submissions within strict timelines, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting the automation and simplification of financial processes. The analyst will collaborate with global and regional teams, maintain alignment across reporting systems, and deliver insights that strengthen decision-making. Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly results and forecast reports to the Global reporting UniOps team
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with business partners including Global, ZALT, FET, and InA teams
• Maintain a library of historical data and submissions for reference and compliance
• Ensure alignment across reporting systems including SAP, BW, GCUT, and Ifinance
• Create and maintain process documentation, workflows, and self-service guidance for global reports
• Clean and organize data for analysis to ensure accuracy and usability
• Automate standard reports in line with efficiency and digital transformation mandates
• Partner with the Southern Africa director on all reporting matters
• Update financials on income statement commentary files for variance analysis
• Participate in the simplification and automation committee to drive the Finance Digital Agenda
• Collaborate with I&A and offshore teams, including Bangalore, to accelerate digital, RPA, and cognitive capabilities
• Ensure accurate submissions of actuals and forecasts to the Global reporting team, maintaining strong reporting scores across Flash Turnover, V200, TWC, Daily Sales Build, CMI, V220, V540, GMVA, and P&L reports
• Provide timely commentary for all reports to the APM team and Global reporting team each month

Qualifications

• BCom Degree in Finance or Accounting
• CA or CIMA qualification would be highly advantageous
• Three to five years of finance experience, preferably in the FMCG industry
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
• High levels of self-assurance, resilience, and initiative with a bias for action
• Ability to influence without authority in a matrix organization
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate findings verbally and in written presentations
• Capability to work independently and under pressure, especially during month-end reporting periods
• Experience with SAP, GCUT, and Ifinance systems
